Holiday Schedule for Overseas Clients (July & August 2026)
Holiday Schedule for Overseas Clients (July & August 2026)
Southern Europe will largely suspend business in August; Western Europe will see slower work efficiency with staggered leave; clients in North America remain reachable with occasional short vacations; businesses in Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Russia operate normally and accept orders steadily.
I. Europe (Most affected in July & August, core off-season for foreign trade)
1. Southern Europe (Longest vacation, near full shutdown in mid-August)
- Italy: Official vacation from Aug 1 to Sep 3. During Aug 10–Aug 20 (Feast of the Assumption on Aug 15), most factories shut down, official approvals are suspended. Clients barely reply to emails, arrange payments or place new orders in mid-August; most orders will be delayed till September.
- Spain: Staggered holidays in two batches: Jul 20–Aug 5 & Aug 1–Aug 30 (around 15 days each). Most small and medium-sized merchants suspend work in early August. Large enterprises keep on-duty staff, yet senior management are on vacation, making large order confirmation difficult.
- Portugal: Main vacation period: Jul 14–Jul 27. Communication efficiency drops sharply in late July.
- Greece: Nationwide vacation throughout August, widespread factory shutdowns.
2. Western Europe (Rotational leave, no full business suspension)
- France: Rotational leave from the last week of July to late August, most staff take over 2 weeks off, email replies slow down obviously.
- Germany: Flexible leave from July to September (2–4 weeks per person), vacation peaks in mid-to-late August; factories cut production and lead times will be extended.
- The UK: One-month vacation from late July to late August. On-duty staff are retained, but senior leaders are absent; contracts and bulk orders will only get approved in September.
- Netherlands, Belgium: Leave from mid-July to early August, fewer on-site employees each week.
3. Northern Europe (Long vacation period)
II. North America (Scattered short leave, always accessible)
1. United States
- Public holiday: Independence Day on Jul 4; most enterprises take extended leave from Jul 2 to Jul 6.
- General situation: Employees take 1–2 weeks of personal leave randomly in July & August. Companies operate normally all year round; most staff check emails remotely, only with slower replies instead of complete disconnection. A small vacation rush appears around Labor Day in late August.
2. Canada
III. Key Asian Regions
1. Japan
- Obon Festival: Aug 13–Aug 16. Customs and freight forwarding efficiency slump greatly; clients are likely unreachable for 4–7 days. Avoid payment reminders and new contract signing during this period.
- One-day minor holidays (Marine Day on Jul 20, Mountain Day on Aug 11) bring negligible impact.
2. South Korea
3. Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia)
IV. Russia, the Middle East, Australia & New Zealand
- Russia: No national public holidays in July & August; outdoor product demands rise in summer, cooperation moves forward smoothly.
- Middle East (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Turkey): Offices close earlier due to high temperature in summer without formal long vacations; orders stay stable year-round. Major holidays fall on Ramadan and New Year instead of July & August.
- Australia & New Zealand: Summer vacation is from December to February; full normal working schedule in July & August (winter locally).
Practical Tips for Foreign Trade Follow-up
-
For Italian & Spanish clients: Only prepare documents and sample plans before mid-August; do not press for payments or finalize large orders during mid-August.
-
Clients in Germany, France and the UK: Confirm their vacation schedules in advance and reserve 15–30 days as buffer for delivery lead times.
-
US, Southeast Asian, Russian and Middle Eastern clients: Normal development, quotation and order follow-up; these regions are the main sources of new orders in July & August.
-
Complete shipment and payment reconciliation for Japanese orders before Aug 10 to avoid delays caused by the Obon Festival.

For ATV wholesalers, keeping existing retail buyers is much cheaper than hunting for new ones. Loyal retail partners bring steady bulk orders, solid market coverage and consistent revenue. Traditional emails and SMS usually have low open rates and slow responses. Local popular messaging channels deliver far‑better engagement. Our data shows 80% of messages get opened within 5 minutes after delivery. You can use tools such as Flownally to manage different messaging channels, and Twilio for SMS alerts to build complete customer journeys. Put these practical tactics into practice: 1. Restock reminders for ATV consumables & wear‑parts ATV retailers sell lots of wear‑prone items: tires, brake components, filters and maintenance supplies. Out‑of‑stock situations cost them sales. Send automated restock reminders via messaging tools. Base alerts on each retai...

1. Vehicle Inspection Check the overall vehicle condition: tire wear, brake performance, throttle response and steering function. Take photos and videos of all existing scratches, dents and damages on the vehicle before pickup to avoid disputes upon return. Test ride at low speed within the designated area to check for abnormal noises or oil leaks. 2. Rental Agreement Terms Deposit & damage compensation: Clarify the scope of compensation, deductible amount, and whether extra charges apply for worn parts such as tires. Overtime charges: Confirm the hourly/daily rate for late return. Usage restrictions: Check permitted riding areas. Note that ATVs are generally prohibited on public roads. Fuel policy: Confirm whether the vehicle should be returned with a full tank or fuel will be charged separately. 3. Insurance & Liability Confirm included insurance coverage...
